As we all know, the above is the first verse of the great “taittirIyOpaniShat”.
The greatness of this prayer is that even though one recites it each morning, it is meant for universal peace (vishwa shAnti prArthana). Each morning, we offer salutations to all Gods who control the world peace and well-being of mankind as per the orders of Lord Vishnu. It is a form of realization each morning that we as mortal beings invoke and seek refuge in shrI hari, vAyu, gurugaLu with a self- promise that each day we will abide by truth and dharma in everything we say, speak, hear, or do, and in the process, hope that there is universal peace.
This prayer, if recited each day causes a positive energy around us, mortals, and is spiritually gratifying. Such is the significance of message of “taittirIyOpaniShat”.
As such, MYP intended to explore meaningfully the intricate teachings of this entire upaniShat in line with Sri Raghavendra Tirtha’s ‘khaMDArtha’ for the benefit of all jijnAsus. With this in view, MYP had organized a Two-Day workshop on “taittirIyOpaniShat’ on Saturday- Sunday, 25-26th June, 2016 in the premises of Poorna Prajna Samshodhana Mandira, Bengaluru under the auspicious of Poorna Prajana Samshodhana Mandira.
MYP is pleased to record its deep gratitude to all the participants who made it a grand success. There were more than 120 jijnAsus who participated in a two-day long workshop for marathon ‘chiMtana’ of each verse of the ‘taittirIya upaniShat’. The event was inaugurated none other than HH Sri Sri Vidyesha Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Bhandarkeri Matha, who also blessed us by delivering his 2 hour long analysis of the first part of the ‘shikShAvallI’.
Vid.Hayavadana Puranik presided over the event on both days. All the other 6 sessions were intensive discourses by eminent Dwaita scholars of repute viz. Vid. Rama Vithalacharya, Dr Shankara Narayana Adiga, Dr A V Nagasampige, Dr Satyadhyanacharya Katti, Dr C H Srinivasa Murthy and Dr,Sathyanarayanacharya.
The Q&A sessions held in between sessions, were very interactive and the clarifications offered by the Scholars were very apt and participants were highly satisfied. Presidential address was the hallmark of the event with masterly remarks by Vid. Hayavadana Puranik.
Audio (MP3) CDs and Video DVDs covering all the sessions of the two-day event were also released at the end of the sessions by Vid. Hayavadana Puranik.
These are made available for online purchase on madhwakart.com and also at PPVP Bookshop. MYP is indebted to Poorna Prajna Samshodhana Mandira, Shimshumara Pratishathana, and family members of Kirtishesha Mukundacharya and Sri Harsha Acharya for all their support and generous contributions.
The participants appreciated the efforts of the organizing Team for their professional approach to the event.
By the grace shrI hari vAyu gurugaLu, the event was a such a grand success, that has boosted the moral of all team members who are now on to focus on next event with Lord’s grace.
