Highlights of the Event : Day 2
➢ Day 2 was all by MYP Team Members. ➢ Two of our Team Members shared their knowledge on two typical subjects with their presentation. ➢ Sri Sheshagiri K M made an Audio- Visual presentation on “Gayatri ChiMtana and Japa yOga” which was curiously heard by the participants. The details explained included quotes from BhagavadgIta and other shrutis were highly appreciated by participants during Q&A session held after the presentation and expressed that the points covered are most useful for their daily anuShThAna. ➢ Vid. Bindu Madhav Kerur in his session dealt in detail with a special subject– “Understanding Concept of Dreaming and Dreams in Madhwa philosophy”. The definition of dream-cognition is explained as consciousness produced by a particular conjunction of self and mind (manas) in tune with the subconscious impressions of past experience, like recollections. Dreams or dreaming are fascinating and mystifying human experiences in ‘SwapnAvastha’ which has references in the Vedas, Upanishats, Puranas and the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shrimad BhagavadgIta, Padmapurana, etc. There are age-old knowledge and understandings ripe with lots of incidents related to dreams and also their relevance, one experiences them due to saMskara of mind in several generations. The audience were satisfied with the clarifications with suitable quotes form Upanishats. The participants appreciated the concept and anusaMdhAna as per Sri Hari’s saMkalpa.
Both the sessions were attended by more than 60 young participants and appreciated the subjects being thought provoking and enriching the knowledge.
Thus, the Two Days event of MYP’s dashamAnOtsava was a memorable rejuvenating experience for Team MYP!
