MYP’s Half-day vichAra saMkiraNa on “sarva samarpaNa gadyam” was a grand success.
MYP is pleased to record its deepest gratitude to all the participants who made it a grand success. There were more than 80 jijnasus who participated in a half-day session – vichAra saMkiraNa – Sri Raghavendra Teertha virachita “sarva samarpaNa gadyam“.
The event was conducted in the premises of Sri Raghavendra Seva Samiti(R), 4th T Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, which was inaugurated by Vid. Dr. Hyavadana Puranikaru.
The “sarva samarpaNa gadyaM” is a two sentenced prose in a single printed page, in which Sri Raghavendra Swamy captures the essence of the Upanishads and provides a summary into the workings of the individual souls (Jeevatma), their relation to the Lord Almighty, presence of the Lord in living beings at various stages in life etc.
All of us continuously indulge in committing activities, some good, some bad and others neutral. When asked to submit all our actions to the Lord, a natural question that arises is how to handle the inevitable bad deeds. Sri Raghavendra Swamy addresses these difficult questions in this work.
The Vichara GoshThi was presided over by the learned Senior Scholar Dr.Vid. Sri Hayavadan Puranikaru.
During the first session, Pt. Tirumalcharya Kulkarni presented the GranthAvalOkana and, discussed in detail each word of the Prose describing the special adjectives-beautifully composed by Sri Raghavendra Swamiji with reference to SarvaMula Granthas and Bhagavata, and MBTN etc.
Pt. Tirumalcharya Kulkarni at the end of his session kindly answered all the questions raised by the participants spontaneously and participants were enlightened.
The President of the GoShThi summed up the entire prose highlighting the greatness of Sri Raghavendra Teertha’s Grantha Rachana Kaushalya and explained that we are fortunate to have him in our great Madhwa lineage and should be indebted to him all the time. Further, He also deliberated on SamarpaNa Vidhi and Anusandhana in depth. He congratulated all the participants for their joining such a wonderful workshop by MYP.
Dr. Vid Hayavadana Puranikaru concluded the session while appreciating the kAruNya of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji on all of us, as he prays, in his last words of Complete Submission, ” Oh Lord, among the good and bad deeds that I have committed, I pray that by your grace, Sri Vayu Deva (Mukhya Prana) will consider only the good deeds and the bad deeds be attributed to the evil souls such as Kali who are responsible in the first place for polluting my mind. I dedicate awareness of this knowledge to you, my Lord, and let this be my
worship to you.”
Dr. Vid Hayavadana Puranikaru explained the resolve of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji so emphatically and advised participants to have right kind of approach and anusaMdhAna.
